Hansung Clean Tech Accelerates Gains from Semiconductor Supercycle... Secures Samsung Electronics Ultra-Pure Water System Contract

Hansung Clean Tech, a company specializing in industrial water treatment and ultra-pure water EPC, announced on November 6 that it has secured two contracts from Samsung Engineering & Architecture: the "Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Semiconductor Plant P4 Ph4 Ultra-Pure Water Complex Building Equipment Construction" worth approximately 11.2 billion KRW (about 11.2 billion won), and the Green Building mechanical/piping installation project worth about 6.8 billion KRW (about 6.8 billion won).

This project involves the construction of an ultra-pure water system, a core infrastructure for semiconductor manufacturing processes, and was commissioned as the expansion of next-generation memory semiconductor production capacity accelerates in the era of artificial intelligence. Samsung Electronics is speeding up the expansion of its Pyeongtaek campus to produce advanced memory products such as HBM4 (High Bandwidth Memory). According to reports from last month, Samsung Electronics increased the budget for the P4 Ph4 project and is preparing to break ground on the fifth plant to ramp up high bandwidth memory (HBM) production.

A Hansung Clean Tech representative stated, "With the recent surge in demand for AI semiconductors, the semiconductor market is experiencing rapid growth, leading major semiconductor companies to expand their investments. As a result, demand for ultra-pure and process water facilities is also rising quickly, and this contract is a representative example of Hansung Clean Tech benefiting from this trend."

He added, "Hansung Clean Tech has proven its stable quality and construction capabilities based on its accumulated expertise in ultra-pure water facility design and construction in various semiconductor and display sectors. Moving forward, we plan to expand our business not only in ultra-pure water systems for semiconductors but also into high-purity water treatment markets for secondary batteries and bio industries, as well as the semiconductor wastewater reuse market."

Through this contract, Hansung Clean Tech is expected to further strengthen its position as a leading company in the water treatment sector within the semiconductor industry.
