Jongcheon Bae, the 3rd CEO of Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation, received his letter of appointment and officially began his work.
After receiving his appointment letter, CEO Bae visited each department instead of holding an inauguration ceremony and started his work as soon as his term began.
The Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation is an organization established by Gyeongsangnam-do Province to develop and promote various policies for the tourism industry in the region.
In his first remarks as CEO, Bae stated, "By revitalizing tourism in Gyeongnam, I will lead the local economy and strengthen the role of the control tower for tourism development in the province."
The operation of Gyeongnam Tourism focuses on redefining the Gyeongnam tourism brand, domestic and international tourism-targeted marketing, and revitalizing the operation of Ceco (Changwon Exhibition Convention Center) to create a sustainable tourism MICE ecosystem.
Bae previously served as Chairman of the Changwon City Council and Chairman of the Integrated Changwon City Council. He was selected as the final candidate in the recruitment for the 3rd CEO and, after passing a provincial council hearing on October 16, received his appointment letter from the Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do and began work.
