Since joining LG International, the predecessor of LX International, in 1996, Vice President Koo has held key positions including Head of the Metals Division (Senior Managing Director), Head of the Energy Division (Executive Vice President), and Head of the Indonesia Region (Vice President).

In particular, while serving as Head of the Indonesia Region, he achieved significant results by securing a foundation for future growth through the acquisition of a new nickel mine, and by actively driving profitability improvements and the advancement of the resources business.

Building on Vice President Koo's strong drive and exceptional on-site expertise, LX International plans to accelerate the development of promising new minerals and further refine its portfolio of new businesses.

In this personnel reshuffle, Director Hong Jangpyo, who played a key role in stabilizing the AKP nickel mine in Indonesia early on after its acquisition by taking charge of the site, was promoted to Senior Managing Director.

An LX International representative stated, "Our aim was to appoint business leaders with strong drive and on-site expertise in line with our performance-oriented principles," adding, "We will continue to prepare for the future without disruption."

Meanwhile, President Yoon Choonseong, who has led the company, will leave LX International after 37 years of service and is set to be appointed as an advisor.
