According to the county on November 5, this training was conducted as part of the mandatory "Four Major Violence (sexual harassment, sexual violence, prostitution, and domestic violence) Prevention Education" for all public institutions, including senior officials, which has been implemented since 2021. The initiative aims to enhance gender sensitivity within the public sector and establish a healthy organizational culture.
The session was attended by County Governor Choi Hunsik, Deputy Governor Lee Jeongwoo, and 29 senior public officials at grade 5 and above. Hong Miseon, a professional instructor specializing in violence prevention, was invited to deliver a lecture focusing on various real-life cases, including digital sexual violence, stalking, and deepfakes, which have recently become significant social issues.
The training also covered the roles of managers and agency heads in the event of sexual harassment or sexual violence, as well as specific practical measures to prevent secondary victimization within the organization. Participants took the opportunity to reflect on their responsibilities and ethical awareness as public officials.
Instructor Hong Miseon emphasized, "Through case-based lectures, we specifically addressed the responsibilities and roles of managers. The culture of gender equality in the public sector begins with changes in leadership awareness."
County Governor Choi Hunsik stated, "Through this training, all public officials will heighten their awareness of violence and foster a workplace culture of mutual respect and consideration by establishing correct gender values."
Meanwhile, the county has established and operates a counseling system for grievances related to sexual harassment and sexual violence, aiming to create a healthy organizational culture and to protect victims and prevent secondary harm.
