A Family-Oriented Healing Tourism Program
Combining Trekking and Fly Fishing
Jinan County in North Jeolla Province will hold the 'Jinan Plateau FIN (Fishing In Nature)' event on November 8 at Unilam Banilam in Jucheon-myeon.
According to the county on November 5, this event is part of the West Inland Tourism Promotion Project and the Sinabro Healing Trail Project. It is hosted by Jinan County and organized by the Jinan County Fly Fishing Association Cooperative.
'Jinan Plateau FIN' is a family-oriented healing tourism program that combines trekking and fly fishing, offering a healing outdoor festival where participants can relax both body and mind in nature.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will feature a fly fishing competition and the Sinabro Forest Healing Walk at Unilam Banilam. Both the fly fishing and healing walk programs are open for on-site registration without prior application.
At the festival venue, a variety of hands-on programs will be available for all ages, including introductory fly fishing experiences, children's fishing activities, insect tying workshops, personalized keyring making, and traditional cultural experiences. These activities aim to create lasting memories in nature for families and visitors alike.
On-site, there will also be beverage and snack booths, a mountain food sales corner, and a direct farm produce market operated by Jucheon-myeon residents, allowing participants to enjoy the unique tastes and charm of Jinan.
A county official stated, "This event, where you can enjoy both trekking and fly fishing, will be a special day to experience the nature of Jinan with all your senses. We hope families will spend time healing and connecting with nature at the end of autumn."
