Guri City to Support Newlyweds' Housing Stability with Up to 7 Million Won in Rental Loan Interest Aid Notice for the "2025 4th Round of Interest Support Program for Rental Deposit Loans for Newlywed Couples Without Homes." Provided by Guri City.

This program is a support policy aimed at easing the housing cost burden for newlywed couples without homes and addressing the low birth rate issue. It provides support for up to 1 million won per year, corresponding to 1% of the outstanding balance of rental deposit loans from financial institutions, for a maximum period of seven years.

Eligible applicants are newlywed couples without homes who meet all the following criteria as of the announcement date: both the registered address and the leased residence must be located in Guri City; the marriage registration must have been completed within the past seven years; the combined household income must not exceed 180% of the median income; and the outstanding balance of rental deposit loans from financial institutions (including residential officetels) must be 200 million won or less.

However, the following are excluded from eligibility: those who have signed a lease agreement with a first-degree direct relative or their spouse; recipients of low-interest loans from the Housing and Urban Fund (such as the Bogeumjari Loan); residents of public rental housing; recipients of livelihood, medical, or housing benefits; and beneficiaries of other similar programs.

Applications can be submitted in person at the local administrative welfare center corresponding to the applicant’s address from November 10 to November 21. Required documents can be downloaded from the announcement board on the Guri City Hall website. After document screening, households selected for support will receive an amount equivalent to 1% of their outstanding loan balance (up to 1 million won per household) in December.

Baek Kyunghyun, Mayor of Guri City, stated, "We hope that the Interest Support Program for Rental Deposit Loans for Newlywed Couples Without Homes will help stabilize housing for newlyweds in the city who are facing financial difficulties."
