Law firm Kwangjang (Managing Partner Kim Sanggon) has recruited Huh Hoon, former head of the Public Investigation Division at Suwon District Prosecutors' Office (Judicial Research and Training Institute, 35th class).

According to the legal community on November 5, Attorney Huh, an expert in labor and serious industrial accidents, left the prosecution in August and began practicing as a lawyer. He recently joined Kwangjang.

Attorney Huh graduated from Seoul Daewil Foreign Language High School and the Department of Law at Korea University. After completing the 35th class at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, he served as a legal officer in the Army and was appointed as a prosecutor at Incheon District Prosecutors' Office in 2009. He then served as a prosecutor at Sokcho Branch of Chuncheon District Prosecutors' Office, Busan District Prosecutors' Office, and Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. In February 2021, he was promoted to Deputy Chief Prosecutor at Anyang Branch of Suwon District Prosecutors' Office, and in July 2022, he became the Chief Prosecutor at Miryang Branch of Changwon District Prosecutors' Office.

From September 2023, he served as the Chief Prosecutor of the Criminal Division 1, specializing in public and serious industrial accident crimes, at Seongnam Branch of Suwon District Prosecutors' Office. From June 2024, he was the head of the Public Investigation Division at Suwon District Prosecutors' Office, before retiring in August this year.

He earned a master's degree in labor law from Korea University in 2022 and also served as an adjunct professor at a law school from 2019 to 2020.

Attorney Huh holds a Level 2 (Blue Belt) certification as a public prosecutor specializing in labor, and has demonstrated expertise in labor and serious industrial accident fields, including authoring the Supreme Prosecutors' Office’s commentary on the Serious Accidents Punishment Act. During his time as a prosecutor, he conducted investigations into incidents such as the Aricell fire disaster, the Daewoo Winia Group wage arrears case, and the Samsung Electronics Service union-busting case. At Kwangjang’s criminal group, Attorney Huh will be responsible for work related to labor and serious industrial accidents.
