Mayor Park Dongsik Visits Local Space and Aerospace Companies in Sacheon

"The Space and Aerospace Complex City is the Future of Sacheon
and a New Starting Point for Progress"

Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on November 5 that it had visited major local space and aerospace companies to broaden consensus on the creation of a space and aerospace complex city and to strengthen the foundation for mutual cooperation.

This on-site visit was organized to directly observe the development of the space and aerospace industry and to foster an industrial ecosystem where companies and the region can grow together. Mayor Park Dongsik was accompanied by the Director of the Space and Aerospace Bureau, the Head of the Space and Aerospace Division, the Head of Investment Promotion and Industrial Complex Division, and the Team Leader of the Aviation Industry Team.

Mayor Park and his delegation visited key local space and aerospace companies, including Korea Aerospace Service, Mirae Aviation, and Korea Nonferrous, touring their production facilities and engaging with company representatives to hear firsthand accounts from the industry.

Mayor Park listened to the main business operations, technological capabilities, and management conditions of each company, shared perspectives on the development direction of the local space and aerospace industry, exchanged opinions on administrative support and measures to vitalize the industrial ecosystem that companies can tangibly feel, and explained the vision and direction of the space and aerospace complex city project being promoted by Sacheon City.

Through this visit, Sacheon City reaffirmed the importance of communication and cooperation based on trust with companies and reiterated its commitment to the creation of the space and aerospace complex city.

This visit marks the first round, and the city plans to continue site-centered administration by communicating with more companies through additional visits in the future, aiming to establish a virtuous cycle where the growth of companies directly leads to regional development.

Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "The space and aerospace complex city is the future of Sacheon and the starting point for a new leap forward," adding, "We will expand consensus within the region for the space and aerospace complex city project and build an industrial city where companies and citizens participate and empathize together."
