According to fire authorities, the fire started at around 11:34 p.m. after seven reports were received from nearby residents, prompting an immediate dispatch of firefighters.
When the fire brigade arrived at the scene at approximately 11:42 p.m., the blaze had already reached its peak, and intense radiant heat made initial entry difficult.
The flames spread to neighboring factories, including Taeseong Textile and Woodone Furniture, which significantly prolonged firefighting efforts.
Fire authorities declared Response Level 1 at 11:53 p.m., followed by Response Level 2 at 1:01 a.m. on November 5, mobilizing all available resources to contain the fire.
A total of 105 firefighters and 53 pieces of equipment (including 13 pump trucks and 26 tankers) were deployed to the scene, with additional personnel and equipment provided by the Gangwon Fire Headquarters and the Central Headquarters.
So far, no casualties have been reported, and six workers inside the factory managed to evacuate on their own.
The extent of property damage is still under investigation, and the exact cause of the fire is being analyzed.
A fire department official stated, "The rapid spread of the fire was due to the large amount of raw materials and finished products stored inside the factory," and added, "We are focusing all efforts on extinguishing the fire to prevent it from spreading to the forest."
Meanwhile, the Pocheon Fire Station activated the Emergency Rescue Control Center at 2:22 a.m. and continues to carry out extended firefighting operations.
