Hyunjo Yoo Eyes Triple Crown

Competing in the Final Daebo Housedi Championship
Grand Prize Secured, Aiming for Top Scoring Average and Prize Money
Aiming for the 13th Triple Crown in KLPGA History

Last year's Rookie of the Year, Hyunjo Yoo, is set to challenge a major record.

On November 7, she will compete in the final event of the 2025 Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour season, the Daebo Housedi Championship (total prize money: 1 billion KRW), held at Seowon Hills Country Club (par 72, 6,556 yards) in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. This tournament will feature the top 57 players in the prize money rankings, along with three amateurs, for a total of 60 competitors vying for the title.

The biggest focus is whether Hyunjo Yoo can achieve a triple crown. She has already secured first place in the Wemade Grand Prize points standings with 681 points. In the scoring average category (69.8913 strokes), she is leading ahead of Jungmin Hong (70.1410 strokes) and Shinsil Bang (70.1463 strokes). If Hyunjo Yoo finishes this tournament with a score of 10-over-par or better, she will win the lowest scoring average award in the 60s for the first time in four years since Hana Jang in the 2021 season.

The variable is the prize money ranking. This year, she has earned 1,269,852,481 KRW, placing her third in this category. The winner's prize for this tournament is 250 million KRW, and the runner-up will receive 96 million KRW. She has a chance to overtake Jungmin Hong (1,326,823,334 KRW) and Seunghee Noh (1,314,479,754 KRW), who are currently first and second in the prize money rankings, and claim the top spot. Hyunjo Yoo stated, "Since there are many important titles at stake in this tournament, I will focus a little more on winning than usual."

This tournament was first introduced as the Daebo Housedi Open in the 2021 season. This year, it has been designated as the final event of the regular tour, and the tournament name has been changed to the Daebo Housedi Championship. The tournament course has also changed from Seowon Valley to Seowon Hills.
