Competing in the Worldwide Technology Championship
The Only Korean Player to Submit an Entry
Strong Performances at the ZOZO Championship and Genesis Championship
Siwoo Kim is set to make his mark in Mexico.
On November 6 (local time), he will compete in the Worldwide Technology Championship on the PGA Tour, held at El Cardonal (par 72, 7,452 yards) in Los Cabos, Mexico. Siwoo Kim is the only Korean player to have submitted an entry for this tournament, which offers a total prize fund of 6 million dollars.
Including this event, only three tournaments remain on the PGA Tour schedule. After the Worldwide Technology Championship, the Bermuda Championship and the RSM Classic will take place, after which eligibility for the new season will be determined based on FedEx Cup rankings. Unless a player meets other qualifying criteria, such as winning a tour event, they must finish within the top 100 in the FedEx Cup standings to retain their PGA Tour card for the following year.

Siwoo Kim has been performing well in recent tournaments. Last month, he finished tied for 20th at the PGA Tour's ZOZO Championship in Yokohama, Japan, and also tied for 21st at the Genesis Championship, co-hosted by the Korea Professional Golfers' Association and the DP World Tour at Woojeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
Siwoo Kim has accumulated four career wins on the PGA Tour, but he has yet to claim a victory this year. Out of 29 tournaments played this season, he has finished in the top 10 twice. His best results this season were tied for 8th at the RBC Heritage in April and the PGA Championship in May. Siwoo Kim is determined to secure his fifth career victory during this trip to Mexico.
This tournament also offers the excitement of playing on a unique course. Opened in 2014, El Cardonal is renowned for being designed by 'golf legend' Tiger Woods. The course is notable for its unusual layout, with a difference of approximately 73 meters between its highest and lowest points.
