Traffic Control Around Palma Sports Complex

Suncheon City announced that the 25th Suncheon Nam Seungryong Marathon will be held on the 8th, centered around Palma Sports Complex and throughout Suncheon.
The Nam Seungryong Marathon course, imbued with historical significance and sportsmanship, consists of the following routes: Full course (Palma Sports Complex → Ecological Culture Education Center → Eco Village → Clean Water Management Center → Suncheon Bay Wetland → Hwapo Port (turnaround)), Half course (Palma Sports Complex → Ecological Culture Education Center → Eco Village → Clean Water Management Center → Suncheon Bay Wetland (turnaround)), 10km course (Palma Sports Complex → Nam Seungryong Road → Ocheon Samgeori → Eoullim Gymnasium → under Pungdeokgyo Bridge (turnaround)), and 5km course (Palma Sports Complex → Ecological Culture Education Center → Job World (turnaround)). Around 7,800 marathoners from across the country will energetically run through Suncheon, enjoying the late autumn scenery.
On the day of the event, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., traffic will be controlled on major roads along the marathon course. In particular, entry from Palma Five-way Intersection toward Palma Sports Complex and Suncheonman National Garden will be prohibited. The section from Ecological Culture Education Center to Clean Water Management Center will be completely closed, and the route from Dosa Elementary School to Inwol Intersection will operate as a one-way street.
A city official stated, "As this marks the 25th Suncheon Nam Seungryong Marathon, we kindly ask for the active cooperation of all citizens to ensure the event proceeds smoothly," and added, "We ask vehicles passing through these sections to detour or use public transportation."
