GS25, the convenience store operated by GS Retail, announced on November 4 that it is seeking to capture demand for overseas travel through a three-way partnership with the Guam Visitors Bureau and Naver Pay (Npay).

Amid rising demand for international travel, the company aims to establish a strategic partnership spanning retail, tourism, and payment platforms, offering differentiated products and marketing initiatives.

First, on November 5, GS25 will launch four ready-to-eat meal collaborations inspired by signature dishes from Guam. These products are designed to deliver the authentic flavors and atmosphere of Guam, allowing customers to experience the island's exotic vibe from home.

The "Cube Steak Fried Rice" was developed based on the concept of the BBQ platter from Chamorro Night Market, a popular tourist attraction in Guam. The "Red Rice Chicken Gimbap" features rice in the style of "Red Rice," a traditional Chamorro dish, combined with radish and carrot pickles and Cajun chicken for enhanced flavor. In addition, the "Spam Tuna Mayo Rice Ball" recreates the popular local "musubi" in a rice ball form. The "Coconut Mango Sandwich" is a dessert-style sandwich filled with cream, mango chunks, and coconut-based cocopalm, all inside soft bread for a rich texture.

A customer participation event has also been prepared. From November 5 to November 30, customers who purchase any of the Guam collaboration products and accumulate GS ALL membership points will receive a stamp on the event page of the "Our Neighborhood GS" app. Customers who collect three stamps will be automatically entered into a prize draw, with the following rewards: ▲ 1st prize-Guam hotel stay and round-trip airfare (1 winner); ▲ 2nd prize-Guam round-trip airfare (5 winners); ▲ 3rd prize-Guam popular hotel voucher (7 winners); ▲ 4th prize-GS Pay 3,000 won discount coupon (4,000 winners).

When paying for Guam collaboration products with the prepaid "Npay Money Card," customers will receive 50% of the purchase amount back as points.

At GS25 stores in Incheon International Airport, the three companies will jointly offer a "Beauty Travel Kit." This portable beauty set includes essential skincare items for travel-cleanser, toner, ampoule, and cream-in small sizes. Purchasing the Beauty Travel Kit also qualifies customers to enter the Guam prize event.

Choi Seungwoo, Financial Partnership Manager at GS Retail, said, "This collaboration is a new type of integrated marketing model involving a convenience store, a tourism bureau, and a simple payment provider. We expect it to deliver tangible benefits to customers while both absorbing overseas tourism demand and promoting the use of simple payment methods."
