NH Investment & Securities announced on the 3rd that, starting from the 4th, it will offer commission-free day trading for U.S. stocks and launch the “Namu Non-Stop Challenge” event, as Namu Securities will become the only company in the industry to enable 24-hour U.S. stock trading with the resumption of U.S. stock day trading on the 4th.
First, until December 31, any Namu customer who trades U.S. stocks during the day trading hours (10:00 to 18:00, Korea Standard Time) via Namu (MTS/HTS) will be eligible for commission-free trading. (Fees charged by related institutions and SEC fees for sales are also waived.)
In addition, until December 14, Namu Securities will hold a challenge mission event linked to its diverse overseas stock investment content, which is one of its strengths. Customers who complete all missions will receive a Starbucks coffee coupon (limited to the first 10,000 participants), and one person will be selected by lottery to receive an investment support fund of $5,000. There are five missions in total. The first is a service experience mission: watching “Wall Street Live,” which provides exclusive access to the Global Investor Networks (GIN) program from the YouTube channel “SampyoTV,” allowing users to quickly check market analysis and forecasts from renowned U.S. analysts through AI dubbing and summaries. The second mission is to check investment information on “Seeking Alpha,” where, in addition to premium investment news and global reports provided exclusively through NH Investment & Securities’ partnership with the global investment information platform Seeking Alpha, users can also utilize the newly launched “Stock MRA” feature to assess the investment fundamentals of their holdings. The third mission is to experience the “Capital Gains Tax Saving Strategy Simulation,” which, as an industry first, allows investors to directly choose their method for calculating the acquisition value for overseas stock capital gains tax and easily estimate their expected tax amount through virtual sales. The fourth mission is to participate in the newly resumed “U.S. Stock Day Trading,” which is now available 24 hours a day without interruption. The fifth mission involves trading overseas stocks, including pre-market, regular, after-market sessions, and other countries.
Kang Minhun, Head of Digital Business at NH Investment & Securities, stated, “As customers gain more time and options for investment, it becomes increasingly important to provide services that allow easy access to sufficient investment information and stable trading support in advance. We will continue to focus on offering specialized services unique to Namu Securities that can lead our customers’ investment journeys to success.”
