A YouTuber with 200,000 subscribers revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a taxi driver about a year and a half ago. She explained that the reason she confessed to the incident belatedly was because she wanted to support all victims of sexual assault.

On November 2, YouTuber A uploaded a video titled "It Took Me a Long Time to Speak About This" to her channel. In the video, she began by saying, "I want to talk about what happened to me since last year." She continued, "For a year and a half, I hid this and continued to work as a lifestyle YouTuber. But I spent 330 out of 365 days crying," adding, "I felt it was too difficult to keep living while hiding this."

A confessed that she was sexually assaulted in a taxi in the early morning of May 23 last year. According to her account, she had drunk heavily and lost consciousness in the back seat of the taxi. The taxi driver parked in her apartment parking lot, then moved to the back seat and sexually assaulted her. At that time, she had no prior sexual experience, so she was in extreme pain and distress, struggled to resist, and eventually lost consciousness.

She said, "I'm neither a criminal nor a perpetrator, so I don't understand why I have to hide. I wondered why victims have to live in hiding," and added, "I thought that if I talked about being sexually assaulted, people would just pity me and see me as 'that girl who was sexually assaulted,' so I kept going with my YouTube life while hiding the truth."

Mental and physical breakdown... Confession of aftereffects following the incident

She confessed that she has suffered long-term psychological and physical aftereffects since the incident. She said that her reproductive organs were damaged due to the sexual assault, and that she excessively took medication to treat it. She also experienced side effects such as hair loss. She shared, "Yesterday, I had a severe panic attack. I experienced seizures, hyperventilation, anxiety, and lethargy," describing her symptoms.

At the end of the video, YouTuber A expressed her desire to stand in solidarity with other victims of sexual crimes by sharing her own story. She said, "There must be so many people who have experienced sexual harassment, sexual assault, or sexual violence," and added, "I want to stand in solidarity with them. I want us to encourage each other as we live." She emphasized, "Today and tomorrow will of course be difficult, but let's endure together. I hope I can be of some small support to every victim out there."
