According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 11 Ukrainian special forces operatives were killed by Russian troops while attempting to land approximately 1 kilometer northwest of Krasnoarmiisk in Donetsk.

In connection with this, Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) administration established by Russia, stated, "Today, operations are underway in Krasnoarmiisk. Although fierce and complicated urban combat is taking place, our troops are advancing."

Donetsk, which is Ukrainian territory, has had 75 percent of its land occupied by Russia since the outbreak of the war in February 2022. In particular, Russian forces are known to hold the upper hand in Krasnoarmiisk, where Ukrainian troops have been surrounded by Russian troops.

Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that over the past day, its Black Sea Fleet had destroyed one Ukrainian unmanned boat (drone). It also added that 150 sites, including Ukrainian military airfields and long-range drone hangars, had been struck in air raids.
