The event, held in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, was an exchange program that brought together the group's organizational culture and the foundation's talent development philosophy. It was designed around the themes of intergenerational empathy and growth. Over 150 participants, including families of employees from OK Savings Bank, OK Capital, and other group affiliates, as well as scholarship recipients, attended the event.
Nine exchange students from OKIS, Korea's first overseas Korean school, where OK Financial Group Chairman Choi Yoon serves as chairman of the board, also participated.
Participants enjoyed camping while discussing academics and career paths, sharing their experiences. The scholarship recipients provided academic and career mentoring to employees' children based on their experiences in university and society. Employees offered advice as life mentors.
Chairman Choi said, "I felt that the culture of growing together, which OK Financial Group pursues, is being realized through the process of employees and scholarship recipients learning from and inspiring each other," adding, "We will continue to create various exchange opportunities that combine education, culture, and communication to spread a people-centered organizational culture."
Meanwhile, OK Financial Group conducts various educational and cultural programs annually. Through the OK Scholarship Foundation, it operates scholarship programs such as the OK Scholarship (for domestic university and graduate students), OK Global Scholarship (for overseas students), OK Middle and High School Rugby Scholarship, and OK Golf Scholarship. The group has provided approximately 32 billion won in scholarships to about 8,000 cumulative recipients.
Chairman Choi also stepped in as a savior for OKIS, which was facing the risk of closure. By introducing a foreign language immersion program, creating an artificial turf sports field, and expanding gym heating and cooling facilities, the number of students, which had dropped to 190, has recovered to over 300.
