Korea Specialty Contractors Association Jeollanam-do Chapter Signs Pre-Purchase Agreement for 30 Million Won Worth of Islands Expo Tickets

Supporting the Successful Hosting of the Islands Expo

The Organizing Committee for the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee") announced on the 31st that it had signed a pre-purchase agreement for admission tickets with the Jeollanam-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association at Yeosu Culture Hall on the 30th.


On this day, the Jeollanam-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association agreed to purchase admission tickets worth 30 million won, demonstrating the local construction industry's commitment to supporting the successful hosting of the World Islands Expo.

Kang Sungjin, Chairman of the Jeollanam-do Chapter, said, "We decided to purchase admission tickets in the hope of a successful 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo," and added, "I hope the Islands Expo will be an event that we can all participate in as members of the local community."


Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Jeollanam-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association has been dedicated to revitalizing the local economy through the development of the specialty construction industry and enhancing the rights and interests of its member companies. In particular, the chapter has consistently engaged in sharing activities through various support projects, such as donations to social welfare facilities, heating cost support for low-income households, and scholarships for nurturing talent.


Jung Kimyung, Chairperson of the Committee, said, "We are grateful for your willingness to support the Islands Expo despite the challenging economic conditions," and added, "The Committee will work together with the local community to make the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo a successful event that resonates with people around the world."


Meanwhile, the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo, under the theme "Islands, Connecting the Sea and the Future," is an international event co-hosted by Jeollanam-do Province and Yeosu City and organized by the Organizing Committee for the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo. It will be held from September 5 to November 4, 2026, for two months at Dolsan Jinmo District, Yeosu World Expo Site, Gaedo, and Geumodo.
