At the Blue House Set in Hapcheon Until November 2
On-site Sales Booth Also Operated
Hapcheon County, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on the 30th that it held the opening ceremony of the "10th Hapcheon Craft Exhibition" at the Blue House set in the video theme park, and will showcase a variety of local crafts until November 2.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Hapcheon Craft Exhibition is held annually to promote the excellence of Hapcheon's crafts and to vitalize the local craft industry.
This exhibition features around 50 different crafts created by local artisans, including 12 pieces from the creative and tourism commercialization categories that won awards at the 2025 Hapcheon Craft Competition. The exhibition offers visitors to the Blue House set a new attraction, and a sales booth is also operated on-site where visitors can purchase crafts.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 30 people, including County Governor Kim Yooncheol, County Council Chairman Jeong Bonghun, county council members, Sim Jaesoo, President of the Hapcheon Craft Association, and local artisans.
Sim Jaesoo, President of the Hapcheon Craft Association, said, "We will work to discover more talented artisans and develop excellent crafts so that the exhibition can become even richer in the future."
County Governor Kim Yooncheol stated, "I hope this exhibition will be a meaningful occasion to promote the diverse works of Hapcheon’s artisans and to communicate through their creations," adding, "We will spare no effort to support the further growth of Hapcheon's craft industry."
Meanwhile, the 10th Hapcheon Craft Competition was held on May 16, with a total of 23 entries: nine in the creative category and 14 in the tourism commercialization category. The grand prize in the creative category went to Lee Jiho for the "Engraved Mirror Stand," while the grand prize in the tourism commercialization category was awarded to Ko Yongbae for "Hapcheon Road Walking with Byeol Kung-i."
