According to Yonhap News Agency on October 29, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul received a report that a threatening message had been posted on the social networking service (SNS) platform 'Threads,' stating, "If Hanwha fans are seen at Jamsil, there will be bloodshed."
Although the game was being held at Hanwha Eagles' home stadium, Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon, LG fans who could not travel to Daejeon gathered at Jamsil Baseball Stadium to cheer for their team. The LG club, which had prepared a cheering event on the Jamsil scoreboard, announced, "All 16,500 seats opened at Jamsil Baseball Stadium were filled by 7:10 p.m."
In response, police deployed personnel around the stadium as a precaution and are monitoring the situation from the situation control room. However, police stated that no particular incidents have occurred as of now.
Meanwhile, according to the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), 16,750 spectators attended Game 3 of the Korean Series between the LG Twins and the Hanwha Eagles at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon, resulting in a sold-out crowd.
As a result, a total of 301,580 spectators have attended the 14 postseason games this year, and the streak of consecutive sellouts for postseason games has reached a new record of 35 games, continuing from Game 1 of the 2023 Korean Series.
