Receive Exhibition Course Recommendations After Mind Assessment
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Yongsan opening, the National Museum of Korea is hosting a special event titled "We Will Restore Your Mind" through its official Instagram account until November 20.
This event is designed to offer a unique and enjoyable experience to the public by linking the "Mind Restoration Center" content from the museum’s educational platform MODU with the "Mind Series" miniature of the Pensive Bodhisattva, a cultural product released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Yongsan opening.
The "Mind Restoration Center" is a digital content project created with the idea of restoring and healing visitors’ minds, just as the museum restores old and damaged cultural heritage. Developed in 2022 through collaboration between the National Museum of Korea and university students, it diagnoses participants’ emotional states and recommends exhibition courses and artifacts based on the results. This allows visitors to view the museum’s collections from a new perspective and experience cultural healing that helps them regain peace of mind.
Participants can use the "Mind Restoration Center" to assess their mental state, check the recommended exhibition courses and artifacts based on their results, and leave a comment with their expectations. Twenty participants will be selected by lottery to receive one item from the "Mind Series" Pensive Bodhisattva miniatures.
A representative from the National Museum of Korea stated, "We hope many people will take part in this event and find unique enjoyment in their daily lives," adding, "We will continue our efforts to transform the museum into a complex cultural space that not only exhibits artifacts but also heals and encourages visitors."
