Seo-gu District of Gwangju held the '2025 Professional Skills Training Performance Sharing Meeting for Beauty Industry Workers' on the 28th at the Deulbul Hall of Seo-gu Office.

According to Seo-gu District on the 29th, this event was organized to share the main achievements of the professional skills training for small business owners in the beauty industry, which was conducted over six months from April to September, and to provide a platform for communication among graduates and to explore future directions for development.


More than 80 people attended the event, including frontline workers in the Seo-gu beauty industry, program graduates, and association representatives. The event included a screening of training activity videos, presentations of graduate case studies, and discussions on future directions, allowing for the practical sharing of achievements.


In particular, at the sharing meeting, Jung Yoojin, an instructor from the Korea Beauty Society Central Association, delivered a special lecture on "Mastering the Latest Trends in Cutting and Perms," providing a practical, competency-building session that was met with enthusiastic response from attendees. Additionally, Seo-gu District Mayor Kim Ikang and Education Cooperation Officer Kim Hyeil held a lecture concert that communicated through music.


This training program was organized by the Seo-gu Branch of the Korea Beauty Society Central Association and operated as a 17-session course in four areas: haircutting, perming, dyeing, and scalp clinic. A total of 145 small-scale beauty industry workers from businesses under 100 square meters in the district participated, demonstrating high interest, and the satisfaction rate for the training was reported at 92.7%.


Mayor Kim Ikang stated, "This performance sharing meeting was a meaningful opportunity for beauty industry workers to enhance their technical skills and network with one another," adding, "We will continue to expand support such as education and consulting to help local small business owners grow and to revitalize the neighborhood economy."
