During this executive field meeting, the city reviewed the progress of 11 barefoot walking trails within its jurisdiction, confirmed future management and operation plans, and inspected the safety and convenience of the facilities.
This year, the city has completed the construction of eight walking trails and plans to add three more by November 2025.
In 2026, Yangju City intends to expand the project by creating around three new walking trails, including at Dokbawi Forest Experience Center for Children, allowing citizens to enjoy leisure and healing in nature.
Going forward, the city will continue to gather citizen feedback, focus on maintaining and improving the walking trails and their environment, and manage them so that they serve not only as simple walking spaces but also as places for healing and health promotion.
Mayor Yang Soo-hyun stated, "The barefoot walking trails are spaces where citizens can enjoy rest and healing in nature. Please pay special attention to maintenance and safety inspections so that citizens can use them without inconvenience."
