Training Specialized Talent in Medicinal Herbs
Expanding Medicinal Herb Farms and More
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on October 29 that it has launched the "2025 Medicinal Herb Cultivation Specialized Technology Training."
This training program, aimed at prospective return-to-farm and return-to-rural residents as well as newcomers interested in cultivating medicinal herbs, has been organized to facilitate successful agricultural settlement, foster specialized talent in medicinal herbs, and expand the number of medicinal herb farms.

The training began on October 24 and will continue until November 14, in collaboration with the Gyeongsang National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation. The curriculum includes theoretical instruction, field studies, and practical training on medicinal crop cultivation.
Meanwhile, since 2016, Sancheong County has been offering specialized technology training for medicinal herb cultivation. This year, more than 40 trainees are participating in the program.
A representative from Sancheong County stated, "We hope this training will lead to the development of skilled personnel in medicinal herb cultivation, which forms the foundation of the traditional medicine and anti-aging industries, and ultimately strengthen the competitiveness of the medicinal herb sector."
