Osan City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a special event offering a 5% cashback reward to customers who use the local currency "Osaekjeon" during the nationwide consumption promotion festival, "Korea Grand Festival," which runs from October 29 to November 9.
During the event, if customers pay with Osaekjeon at small businesses within the city with annual sales of less than 3 billion won, they will receive an immediate 5% cashback on the payment amount. The maximum cashback amount is 10,000 won.
To participate, users must register their Osaekjeon card on the "Gyeonggi Local Currency" app. Cashback details can be checked in real time through the app. During the event period, customers can enjoy up to a 15% discount by combining the current 10% Osaekjeon recharge incentive with the event cashback.
Lee Gwonjae, Mayor of Osan, stated, "We organized this cashback event to ensure that Osan citizens also receive tangible benefits from this festival," adding, "We will continue to provide various support measures to revitalize the local commercial district and promote the management stability of small business owners."
