Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 28th that it held the "3rd Earth Festival" at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on the 27th.
The Earth Festival is an environmental education event that Kyobo Life Insurance has hosted annually since 2023 in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Energy and Environment. The name "Earth Festival" signifies the importance of environmental preservation and the commitment to saving the planet through proper action.
This year's event, themed "Together For Earth," featured participation from more than 30 organizations, including public institutions such as the Ministry of Climate Energy and Environment, the Korea Environmental Preservation Agency, and the National Institute of Ecology, as well as eco-friendly companies and environmental groups. They presented a wide variety of environmental preservation programs.

In his welcoming remarks, Cho Daekyu, CEO of Kyobo Life Insurance, stated, "The climate, energy, and environmental crisis we face today requires the combined efforts of the government, businesses, and citizens. Kyobo Life Insurance will fulfill its environmental and social responsibilities to ensure that future generations can enjoy healthy lives in a pleasant environment."
Following the opening ceremony, the stage hosted talks and performances centered on the environment. Kyobo Life Insurance, together with the Korea Environmental Preservation Agency, presented the environmental musical "Exciting Saerona Challenge." Other highlights included the "Climate Environment Talk Concert," a discussion between Kim Sunghwan, Minister of Climate Energy and Environment, and Professor Jung Sujong of Seoul National University, as well as the "Environmental Golden Bell" quiz event, which encouraged citizens to practice carbon-neutral living.
The hands-on experience zones, where citizens could participate directly, were also very well received. The "Self-Generation" activity, which involved pedaling bicycles to create eco-friendly energy, proved especially popular. In addition, more than 30 experience programs filled Gwanghwamun Square, including the "Earth Love Hope Tree," which involved pledging eco-friendly actions and donating trees to impoverished farming households in Vietnam, and the "Earth Festival Maze Experience," where participants solved environmental quizzes to escape a maze.
Kyobo Life Insurance has long been at the forefront of addressing environmental issues through a variety of social contribution initiatives. A representative example is the "Pureumi Mobile Environment Classroom," launched in partnership with the Ministry of Environment (now the Ministry of Climate Energy and Environment) in 2022, which provides hands-on environmental lessons tailored to children at schools. The company has also promoted ongoing environmental protection in daily life through activities such as the Environmental Globe Contest, Environmental Book Concert, Environmental Short-form Contest, and employee plogging volunteer work.
A Kyobo Life Insurance representative commented, "We are developing distinctive environmental education programs that can be practiced in daily life to help solve climate change and environmental problems. We will continue to carry out a variety of campaigns so that future generations can lead healthy lives."
