Shareholding Status of SK Group Re-disclosed
SK Excludes 8,762 Shares Held by Director Noh
Innovation Excludes 8,362 Shares
Noh Soyoung, Director of Art Center Nabi, who finalized her divorce from SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, has been excluded from the list of SK's related parties.
SK Holdings and SK Innovation, reflecting the recent Supreme Court's final divorce ruling, re-disclosed on the 27th the status of the largest shareholders and related parties, excluding Director Noh.
This is because shareholders or companies holding more than a 5% stake are required to report and disclose any changes in their shareholdings.
According to the disclosure by SK Holdings on this day, the total number of SK Holdings shares held by Chairman Chey and other largest shareholders and related parties decreased from 18,459,285 shares to 18,445,379 shares (a reduction of 13,906 shares), including the exclusion of the 8,762 shares (0.01%) previously held by Director Noh.
SK Innovation also announced that, with the exclusion of Director Noh’s 8,362 shares (0.01%), the number of SK Innovation shares held by SK Holdings, the largest shareholders, and related parties decreased from 88,073,331 shares to 88,059,971 shares (a reduction of 13,360 shares).
A related party refers to individuals or entities that have close economic ties with the same person (owner) of a company.
On the 16th, the Supreme Court finalized the divorce and alimony between Chairman Chey and Director Noh, while separately remanding the property division decision. As a result, Director Noh lost her status as an SK related party.
With this finalized divorce, Director Noh has also been excluded from the family category of SK Group’s same person (Chairman Chey Tae-won). Consequently, SK Group is no longer required to report related parties within three degrees of kinship, including Director Noh and her relatives, under the same person standard.
