The city explained that the visit by the Matsuyama City delegation was organized to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the unified city of Pyeongtaek, celebrate the friendly relationship between the two cities, and expand exchanges and cooperation across various fields.

The five-member delegation, including Hitoshi Fujita, Deputy Mayor of Matsuyama City, participated in an investment promotion briefing hosted by Pyeongtaek City during their stay. Their schedule also included a visit to the Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Campus, a meeting with the Pyeongtaek Mayor, and inspections of Tongbok Market and the Agricultural Ecology Center.

The two cities have maintained exchanges in various fields such as education, administration, sports, and the private sector since signing a friendship exchange agreement in October 2004. Deputy Mayor Fujita also remarked, "Pyeongtaek is a valuable sister city for Matsuyama, and this visit has further strengthened the cooperative relationship between our two cities."

Meanwhile, a delegation from Pyeongtaek City is scheduled to visit Matsuyama City from November 14 to 17 to attend the 20th anniversary ceremony of their friendship exchange, participate in an industrial festival, and tour major facilities.
