Woongjin ThinkBig announced on October 27 that it has published a new book titled "Kakao Friends Heart Picture Book," utilizing the popular intellectual property (IP) "Kakao Friends."
This series was written by Ahn Young-eun, a recipient of the Bologna Ragazzi Award, often referred to as the Nobel Prize of children's literature. She presents the process of diagnosing and recovering children's emotions through lively and heartwarming stories. The main characters experience and overcome sadness, fear, and anger in a cheerful way, guiding children on how to express and regulate their emotions in a healthy manner.

The picture book consists of a total of three volumes: "Tearful Tube and Blanket Tent," which explores sad feelings; "Trembling Apeach and Treasure Island," which looks at how to confront and overcome fear; and "Angry Muzi and Icicle Ice Cream," which depicts the process of expressing and recovering from anger. The "Droplet Heart Play Book" includes activities such as sticker play, coloring and decorating, and counting, all designed to support cognitive development and help children enjoyably learn how to express and manage their emotions.
In every picture book, Lee Hyuna, head of the "Joyful Children's Book Research Society," provides a clear diagnosis of the main characters' emotional flow through the "Emotion Diagnosis" and "How to Use Emotions" sections.
A Woongjin ThinkBig representative said, "We planned this series to help children naturally recognize and express their own emotions by projecting their delicate feelings onto the Kakao Friends characters. Through relatable stories and playful activities, we aim to present a new approach to emotional education."
