Korea University of Technology and Education Selects Accounting Team as Grand Prize Winner of "AI Administrative Efficiency Competition"

Korea University of Technology and Education is accelerating the realization of a smart campus by sharing its achievements in administrative innovation using artificial intelligence (AI).


On October 27, the university held the awards ceremony for the "2025 AI-Based Administrative Efficiency Competition" and selected the Accounting Team's "Intelligent Financial and Accounting System (IFAS)" as the winner.


The competition was organized to discover ways to improve administrative work efficiency within the university and to identify practical applications of AI technology.


Out of a total of 49 proposals, 8 advanced to the finals, where they were evaluated based on criteria such as practicality, expected impact, and technological suitability.


The Accounting Team's "IFAS" is a system in which AI automatically analyzes financial data to detect and predict budget execution errors in advance, earning high praise for significantly enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of financial management.


The Grand Prize was awarded to the Safety Management Team for its proposal, "AI Safety Assistant." This practical idea attracted attention for using AI to analyze safety inspection data to prevent accidents and automate repetitive tasks.


Other notable winners included the Academic Affairs Team's "AI-Based Academic Notice Delivery Innovation" and the Blended Training Support Team's "AI-Human Collaboration Service Improvement," both of which received Excellence Awards. The External Cooperation Team, Facilities Management Team, Edutech Center, and Information Operations Team received Encouragement Awards.


President Yoo Gilsang stated, "The creative initiatives of our members integrating AI have become the driving force for university innovation," adding, "With this competition as a catalyst, all departments will implement AI-based administrative efficiency and take the lead in building a smart campus."


Meanwhile, the university plans to pilot the best ideas among the award-winning entries in actual administrative processes and to establish an AI administrative innovation roadmap to continue advancing digital transformation.
