At around 9:33 p.m. on October 25, a fire broke out on the second floor of a four-story villa in Goseong-eup, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam.
Ten people escaped on their own, and six others were rescued.
During the incident, six people inhaled smoke, and two suffered serious injuries including burns to their airways, and were transported to the hospital.
Additionally, parts of the veranda and living room, as well as home appliances and household goods, were damaged by the fire, resulting in property damage estimated at 6.84 million won by the fire department.
After a neighbor reported seeing flames and smoke, the fire authorities dispatched 69 firefighters and 21 pieces of equipment, bringing the main blaze under control by 9:46 p.m. and fully extinguishing it by 10:24 p.m. that night.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
