A firefighter is rescuing a person in need while securing a long rope. Provided by Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters
At approximately 2:45 p.m. on October 25, a man in his 30s conducting a geological survey fell into an abandoned mine shaft about 10 meters deep in the Obongsan area of Wondong-myeon, Yangsan, Gyeongnam Province.
As a result of the accident, the man sustained a laceration on the sole of his right foot and was transported to the hospital.
After receiving a report that a person had fallen during a geological survey, firefighters were dispatched to the scene. They secured a long rope to a nearby tree, descended, and rescued the man.
