According to Jeonju University on the 27th, the 'Four-Character Idioms' project was launched in the first semester of the 2023 academic year to cultivate character among students who tend to be self-centered and assertive about their rights, and to help them realize the preciousness of their parents, ultimately fostering happy and loving families.

The team led by Professor Lee Jin-ho (Special Professor at the Mission Support Office) once again pedaled their bicycles to visit the parents of students, aiming to deliver love and inspiration. All the parents they met last semester were deeply moved, and many requested that the event continue in the future.

This sixth edition of the 'Four-Character Idioms' project included Professor Lee Jin-ho, alumnus Park Kwang-su (former head of Samcheon 1-dong), alumnus Oh Hwang-je (Evangelist at Donghyeon Church), and staff members from the Mission Support Office.

Additionally, JN Sam Biotechnology Research Institute, a local black ginseng manufacturer (CEO: Kang Seong-won), sponsored goods worth 10 million won, which were delivered to the parents.

Starting from Jeonju, the team traveled a total of 330 kilometers over five days and four nights from the 20th to the 24th, visiting Namwon (1 parent), Hapcheon (1 parent), Jangseong (1 parent), Yeonggwang (1 parent), Yongin (1 parent), Namyangju (1 parent), and Incheon (1 parent), meeting the parents of seven students in total.

While traveling by bicycle and meeting parents to share love and inspiration, the team also received donations of 100 won for every kilometer traveled (a total of 35,000 won). The donations will be used to support Jeonju University students facing financial difficulties.

The father of Lee Dajin, a first-year student in the Department of Police Studies, said, "I am amazed and grateful that the school delivers the love of children to their parents through such a program, and I am delighted that the letters from our children have brought harmony and love to our family."

Professor Lee Jin-ho stated, "The attitude of this year's freshmen in class is truly bright and positive. I pedal to help them become even better people with greater abilities, and I pray that the importance of their parents and family will be deeply engraved in their hearts."
