BTS RM to Deliver Keynote Speech at APEC CEO Summit as First K-pop Artist

RM, the leader of the group BTS, will deliver a keynote speech at the CEO Summit, a side event of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, to be held in Gyeongju on the 29th. This marks the first time a K-pop artist has been invited to speak at the event.

According to the music industry on the 27th, RM is scheduled to give a presentation on "The Cultural and Creative Industries of the APEC Region and the Soft Power of K-Culture" during the cultural session of the second day of the APEC CEO Summit, starting at 3 p.m. on the 29th. The session will last for about 10 minutes.

Although the specific content of his speech has not been disclosed, RM is expected to highlight the global status of K-Culture and the influence of the cultural and creative industries, drawing on his experiences as the leader who propelled BTS to worldwide fame. RM is expected to deliver his speech in English, addressing global business leaders.

The APEC CEO Summit is a business forum where leaders from 21 member economies and corporate executives discuss innovation industries and economic transformation trends. This year, the summit is being held under the theme "Beyond, Business, Bridge."

Hybe, the parent company of BTS's agency Big Hit Music, is participating as a diamond sponsor, the highest sponsorship level at the APEC CEO Summit. It is the only entertainment company among the sponsors.

Hybe plans to set up a promotional booth at the Gyeongju Arts Center, the event venue, to showcase its overseas businesses in the United States, Japan, China, Latin America, and India, as well as the achievements of its subsidiary labels. The company will also present items such as light sticks, which are central to K-pop fan culture.
