Kim Dongyeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, shared news of his business trip to the United States through social media.
On the 27th, Governor Kim announced on social media, "The scenery of Boston just before landing was fully autumn," and added, "I arrived in Boston after a long 14-hour flight."
He also introduced, "During the flight, the captain, who said he was an enthusiastic fan of mine, asked to take a photo together, and the crew members, saying they supported me, joined in for photos as well."
He went on to promise, "Now, as I begin my schedule in the United States, I will make sure to achieve the 100 trillion won investment attraction I promised during this trip," and added, "Just like the DalDal Bus, I will keep running hard even in the United States."
Governor Kim departed for the United States on the 26th to attract foreign investment and expand diplomatic outreach.
Governor Kim will first meet with businesspeople from the World Korean Business Convention in Boston, as well as young Korean scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs who play key roles in the fields of bio, artificial intelligence (AI), and climate tech.
He will also sign an investment agreement (MOU) with Company E, and hold investment consultations with Company A and Company S to encourage direct investment decisions in Gyeonggi Province, continuing his efforts to achieve the 100 trillion won investment goal within his term.
