Hampyeong County in Jeonnam Province announced on the 26th that it has introduced and officially launched the Integrated Permit Support Service (IPSS) to establish a non-face-to-face administrative permit system.
With the introduction of this system, the county has created a non-face-to-face administrative environment that allows residents to conveniently handle complex permit procedures online.
Previously, to apply for development activity permits, residents had to visit the county office in person or submit applications by mail. However, from now on, the entire process-from application to issuance of the completion certificate-can be handled online at once through the Integrated Permit Support Service.
The Integrated Permit Support Service (IPSS) is an online administrative platform that manages permits related to land use and development in an integrated manner. Through this platform, applicants can check the status of their permits in real time and receive results without having to print documents or make in-person visits.
By shifting to data-driven development permit work, the county expects to provide residents with fast and transparent administrative services, greatly enhancing administrative credibility.
To minimize confusion for applicants, the county will operate both in-person/mail and online application processes in parallel until December this year. After securing system stability, it plans to fully digitize the process starting in 2026.
County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "With the introduction of the Integrated Permit Support Service, we have been able to reduce the administrative burden on residents and provide fast and efficient permit services. We will continue to expand convenient administrative services that residents can truly experience."
