As the combined market capitalization of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix surpassed 1,000 trillion won for the first time in history, the number of non-owner executives at both companies with stock holdings valued at over 1 billion won has surged.
According to an analysis by Korea CXO Institute, a corporate analysis firm, as of October 24, the number of non-owner executives at Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix whose stock assets exceed 1 billion won reached 31, more than triple the number from May 2 this year, when there were 9 such executives.
The stock valuation was calculated by multiplying the closing price on October 24-98,800 won for Samsung Electronics and 510,000 won for SK Hynix-by the number of shares held. Among all executives at both companies, Roh Tae-moon, President of Samsung Electronics, had the highest stock valuation. He owns 50,679 shares of Samsung Electronics, with a total stock value of 5.07 billion won.
Park Hakkyu, President of Samsung Electronics, holds 43,820 shares, with a stock valuation of 4.33 billion won. Yoo Byunggil, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics, owns company shares valued at approximately 3.03 billion won.

In the case of SK Hynix, the value of the stake held by its largest shareholder, SK Square, increased from 20.8046 trillion won on January 2 to 74.511 trillion won, rising by more than 50 trillion won in just 10 months.
Oh Ilseon, head of Korea CXO Institute, stated, "With the recent sharp rise in the stock prices of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, the stock value of internal executives has also increased. For executives with stock assets exceeding 1 billion won per company, Samsung Electronics saw the number rise from 8 in early May to 17, while SK Hynix saw a notable increase from just one, President Kwak Nojeong, to 14."
