Exchange Activities to Strengthen Mutual Cooperation
Early Morning Intensive Schedule

Chilgok County in North Gyeongsang Province will embark on a seven-day market development and exchange cooperation trip connecting Shenzhen and Jieyuan in China from October 27 to November 2, 2025.

The delegation will depart from the county office at 1:00 a.m. on the 27th and follow a tightly scheduled itinerary with continuous travel and visits.

The delegation consists of over 20 members, including Kim Jaewook, Governor of Chilgok County, Lee Sangseung, Chairman of the Chilgok County Council, Councilor Oh Jongyeol, and local businesspeople. In Shenzhen, they will explore market demand and hold export consultations, while in Jieyuan, they will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the sister-city relationship and pursue activities to strengthen mutual cooperation.

Through this visit, Chilgok County has integrated the overseas market development team’s trip with the sister-city visit, thereby saving time and budget while maximizing the efficiency of the schedule.

A county official explained, "This is a strategic itinerary that enables us to continuously pursue market analysis, business export cooperation, and exchange diplomacy on site."

At the first destination, Shenzhen, the delegation will directly observe trends in the automotive electronics market, particularly focused on the global electric vehicle industry, and participate in B2B export consultations with local buyers at the 'Shenzhen Mega Show.'

Chilgok-based automotive parts and consumer goods companies such as SMCT and Hyunjin Chemical plan to analyze the changing demand in China on site and assess the potential for expanding sales channels.

In addition, the delegation will visit the KOTRA Shenzhen Trade Center to learn about strategies for entering the Chinese distribution market and will discuss company-specific cooperation models through a meeting with the Shenzhen Automotive Electronics Industry Association.

After completing the Shenzhen schedule, the business delegation will return to Korea, while the administrative delegation will continue with the remaining itinerary. Governor Kim Jaewook, Chairman Lee Sangseung, and Councilor Oh Jongyeol will visit Jieyuan to discuss ways to expand cooperation in administration, culture, and tourism with Party Secretary Seo Euihyun and Mayor Qin Baojian.

Jieyuan is known as the setting of the fable "Yugong Yishan" (The Foolish Old Man Removes the Mountains), and this exchange is expected to serve as an opportunity for the two cities to reaffirm their sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship.

Governor Kim Jaewook emphasized, "To properly develop response strategies, we must observe the rapidly changing global market trends on site, not just at our desks. This visit is not a simple inspection, but a hands-on schedule to experience technology, connect export opportunities, and expand the foundation for exchange."

He added, "Chilgok County will not just provide administrative support from behind the scenes, but will become an export partner that leads global expansion together from the front."

After returning to Korea, Chilgok County plans to review strategies for entering the Chinese market through company-specific strategy meetings and to further specify directions for cooperation with Jieyuan.
