Engaging with Global Leaders at the CEO Summit
Mobilizing Group Infrastructure and Capabilities for a Successful Event
Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dongbin announced on the 26th that he will attend the 'APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025' to be held in Gyeongju starting on the 28th, where he will engage with global leaders.
The APEC CEO Summit is a gathering where leaders and businesspeople from major countries around the world come together to discuss economic cooperation and sustainable growth. During the event, Chairman Shin plans to explore cooperation opportunities through meetings with heads of state and global business leaders. Key executives from Lotte Group will also participate in the main sessions and business networking activities of the APEC CEO Summit. Attendees will include Kim Sanghyun, Head of Lotte Retail Business Group; Lee Youngjun, Head of Lotte Chemical Business Group; and Chung Junho, CEO of Lotte Department Store.
Lotte will mobilize its diverse infrastructure and core competencies to ensure the successful hosting and smooth operation of the APEC Summit, the APEC CEO Summit, and related events. Focusing on its strengths in distribution, food, and tourism, Lotte is establishing a comprehensive support system to ensure that visiting heads of state and global leaders experience the highest level of service while in Korea.
Lotte Hotel will be responsible for all catering at key official APEC events. Lotte Hotel Seoul, in collaboration with world-renowned chef Edward Lee, will prepare luncheons and dinners for the summit, while Signiel Busan will host the welcome dinner for the APEC CEO Summit, showcasing the flavors, elegance, and refined service of Korea to distinguished guests from around the world. In addition, Lotte Hotel, with its extensive experience and expertise in high-level protocol, will dispatch protocol staff to Gyeongju for the duration of the event.
Lotte JTB will operate two cruise ships with a total of 1,100 rooms as temporary accommodations at Yeongilman Port in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province. This will provide a more comfortable and stable environment for visitors coming to Gyeongju for the event.
Lotte Wellfood, Lotte GRS, and Lotte Chilsung Beverage, among other food affiliates, will set up promotional booths to offer a variety of K-foods to event visitors. Lotte GRS will prepare 3,000 cups of Angel-in-us Coffee and 3,000 Krispy Kreme donuts at the outdoor K-Food Zone, while Lotte Wellfood and Lotte Chilsung Beverage will showcase signature products such as Pepero, Chilsung Cider, and Icis, promoting the taste and competitiveness of K-food to visitors from around the world.
As an official sponsor of this year's APEC CEO Summit, Lotte will actively promote the national event by broadcasting promotional videos at major customer touchpoints, including Lotte World Tower, Lotte Department Store, and Lotte Hotel. The company will utilize displays in lobbies, elevators, exterior walls, and various other spaces to inform both domestic and international visitors about the summit. Lotte will also operate a booth at the Gyeongju Arts Center and promote Lotte World Tower, a landmark building in Korea.
