Model Found Dead with Organs Removed After Pursuing Dream; Thai Authorities Draw Line, Citing "Outside Jurisdiction"

"Voluntary Departure Confirmed, No Signs of Coercion"
Thai Government Clearly Denies Responsibility for the Incident

The Thai government has officially denied rumors regarding the kidnapping and murder of Vera Kravchova, a 26-year-old model from Belarus, and has released evidence indicating that Kravchova voluntarily traveled to Myanmar. As reports emerged that Kravchova, who had recently traveled to Thailand after receiving a job offer, was found dead with her organs removed near the Myanmar border, Thai authorities have stepped forward to clarify the situation.

According to international media outlets such as Thailand's state-run BPS TV, the Thai Immigration Bureau released CCTV footage on the 23rd (local time) showing Kravchova passing through the Automated Border Control (ABC) gates at Suvarnabhumi International Airport during both her entry and exit from Thailand. The Immigration Bureau stated, "Her identity was verified through the biometric system, and there was no form of coercion," adding, "The reported kidnapping allegations are not true."

The Immigration Bureau also emphasized, "What happened after she left for Myanmar falls outside Thailand's jurisdiction." According to the released immigration records, Kravchova entered Thailand on September 12 and departed for Yangon, Myanmar, on Thai Airways flight TG301 at 7:20 a.m. on September 20.

Previously, British media outlets The Sun and Daily Mail reported that Kravchova had traveled to Thailand for a modeling contract but was kidnapped by a local criminal organization and handed over to the Myanmar border area. Kravchova was allegedly forced to participate in 'romance scams' targeting wealthy men to extort money and valuables. When she failed to meet her target earnings, she was cut off from outside contact. The camp then reportedly demanded $500,000 from her family, stating, "She is already dead. If you want the body, send the money." When the transfer was not made, the family was told, "The body has been cremated. Do not search any further."

Russian media outlet SHOT also reported that "Kravchova appears to have been handed over to an organ trafficking organization, had her organs removed, and her body was burned."

According to local police officials, northern Myanmar is known as a hub for illegal cybercrime, operated through collusion between Chinese criminal organizations and the military. Victims of human trafficking are reportedly detained and forced to work more than 16 hours a day. Some victims, if they fail to meet their earnings targets, are subjected to beatings, torture, or even threats of organ removal.

Kravchova was originally from Minsk, Belarus. After graduating from university, she moved to Saint Petersburg, Russia, where she worked as a freelance model. She later built an international career working in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and other countries before falling victim to this tragedy.
