This event was organized by the Pocheon Association of Daycare Centers (President Choi Miyeong) to express gratitude for the dedication and hard work of childcare staff and to encourage one another. More than 200 people attended, including Baek Younghyun, Mayor of Pocheon; Lim Jonghun, Chairman of the Pocheon City Council; Choi Miyeong, President of the Pocheon Association of Daycare Centers; as well as executives and childcare staff from public, private, and home-based daycare associations.

The event began with the screening of the grand prize-winning entry from the UCC contest, followed by opening remarks, congratulatory speeches, an awards ceremony, and a pledge performance by childcare workers. Pocheon City presented commendations to more than 30 individuals who contributed to the development of early childhood care, and awarded the Mayor's Commendation to outstanding childcare workers and daycare centers operating exemplary childcare programs.

Meanwhile, Pocheon City is implementing various childcare support programs to reduce the burden of parenting for families. In December this year, the city plans to open 'Pocheon Education and Culture Complex Space Dureundureun' in Taebong Park, Soheul-eup, along with the operation of the Soheul Child Love Playground and a toy rental program. The city aims to establish this as a leading play and cultural space in the Soheul area, where infants and toddlers can safely and enjoyably experience play and activities.

Additionally, the city was selected for a school complex facility project utilizing a closed school site and is developing a lifestyle and cultural complex space for families and children on the former Geumju Elementary School site. This facility is scheduled to open in August 2027 and aims to expand the family-centered care and education infrastructure in the region, creating an environment where parents and children can grow together.

Mayor Baek Younghyun stated, "I hope today's event serves as a new starting point to comfort and encourage the dedication of childcare workers," adding, "We will expand various support measures to improve the treatment and welfare of childcare staff, making Pocheon a city where both children and childcare workers are happy, and an ideal place to raise children."
