Namyangju City Holds Social Economy Enterprise Capacity-Building Workshop to Strengthen Foundations for Sustainable Growth

Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Kwangdeok) announced that it will hold a two-day, one-night workshop for social economy enterprises from October 24 to 25, 2025, to strengthen their self-sustainability by enhancing their capabilities.

This workshop is designed to strengthen the practical skills of local social economy enterprises and expand cooperation among companies. The program includes a visit to the "7th Korea Social Economy Expo in Jeonju" and field trips to benchmark advanced case studies.


About 40 representatives and practitioners from social economy enterprises in Namyangju will participate in the workshop. The agenda includes a social economy collaboration network meeting, attendance at policy forums and conferences during the expo, visits to exemplary social economy enterprises, and benchmarking of outstanding operational models, among other programs.


In particular, at the "7th Korea Social Economy Expo in Jeonju," participants will examine exemplary cases of social economy enterprises from across the country and share operational know-how and innovative business models. The subsequent policy forum will feature presentations and discussions on trends in social economy activation policies and strategies for fostering region-based enterprises.


On the morning of October 24, Mayor Joo Kwangdeok personally saw off the social economy entrepreneurs departing for the workshop, stating, "I hope this workshop will be a meaningful opportunity for social economy entrepreneurs to share experiences and seek practical ways to collaborate."


He added, "The city will continue to promote a variety of support policies so that the social economy ecosystem can grow even more actively in the future."
