Todd Graves, Chair of the Board of Curators at the University of Missouri, delivers a congratulatory address at the "16th Harry Truman International Conference" held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Yeouido, Seoul, on October 24. Now in its 16th year, the conference is an international event held to honor the achievements of Harry Truman, the 33rd President of the United States from Missouri, who contributed to the development of Korea-U.S. relations and friendship during the Korean War. The conference has been held biennially, alternating between Korea and the University of Missouri in the United States. This year's conference, co-hosted by the Korea-U.S. Parliamentary Friendship Association and the University of Missouri, was held under the theme of "Korea-U.S. Cooperation for Change, Innovation, and the Future," and featured discussions on the advancement of democracy, nuclear energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and other areas of scientific and technological cooperation between Korea and the United States.
