Samcheok City in Gangwon Province held the lighting ceremony for the '10th Samcheok Chrysanthemum Exhibition' at Samcheok Beach on October 23.
This lighting ceremony was organized so that both citizens and tourists could enjoy the splendor of chrysanthemums together. The event began with a pre-ceremony performance by DNG Saxophone and Wondeok Taoulim, followed by the lighting performance and other festivities.
This year's exhibition, held under the theme 'Five Million Chrysanthemums Blooming Again with Citizens,' will feature 70 chrysanthemum sculptures and approximately 10,500 works, including hanging, multi-flowered, and large chrysanthemum varieties. These displays will decorate various areas of Samcheok Beach from October 24 to November 16.
In addition, a bonsai exhibition, local agricultural specialty product booths, hands-on experiences such as making moss terrariums and mini chrysanthemums, and music club performances will all be held, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere.
