Prior to this, the Committee launched a service project in May and held an interim report meeting in August to gather feedback from experts in various fields. To ensure the professionalism and objectivity of the project, the Committee enhanced the quality of the work through expert advisory meetings, council member consultations, and multi-faceted discussions involving a wide range of stakeholders.

First, in response to requests to strengthen analog content in addition to digital and media art, the main exhibition halls will be supplemented with more physical exhibits, and the number of hands-on programs enjoyable for all generations and age groups will be expanded.

To address weather conditions such as heat and typhoons, the Committee will enhance rest facilities and shade structures, increase the number of restrooms to 42, and establish safety measures for facilities and visitors.

Operational staff required for new and expanded programs, such as the Island Theme Zone and yacht tours, will be reinforced, and a total of approximately 490 people, including volunteers, will efficiently operate the expo venue. At the secondary venues, Gaedo and Geumodo, the participation of island residents will be strengthened. Various programs have been prepared, such as "Island Table Stories" led by island residents, special local recipes with women's association leaders, and island village offshore fishing experiences.

Since severe traffic congestion is expected in Dolsan, where the main venue is located, Yeosu City is preparing a basic plan that includes securing temporary parking lots, operating shuttle buses, designating controlled sections, and establishing a traffic information provision system. Detailed plans will be finalized by the end of this year through consultations with relevant agencies and traffic experts.

Meanwhile, the construction of the main venue, which is being carried out directly by the Committee outside of the internal content development for each exhibition hall, is scheduled to be completed between June and July next year, with a trial operation planned for August.

The Committee will finalize the comprehensive implementation plan by the end of this month, reflecting the feedback received at the final report meeting, and will complete detailed execution plans for each sector by May next year.

Yeosu Mayor Jung Kimyung said, "Through the establishment of the comprehensive implementation plan, we were able to review all aspects of expo preparation and gather a wide range of opinions from citizens and experts. We will make thorough preparations during the remaining period to create a successful expo that people from around the world can enjoy and relate to."

Committee Co-Chairman Park Sugwan stated, "Since the Islands Expo is an international event, we will analyze issues in each sector and develop detailed countermeasures. We will do our utmost during the remaining period to meet the expectations of our citizens."
