20 International Routes from Gimhae, 6 from Incheon
4 More Busan Departures and 2 Fewer Incheon Departures Compared to Previous Schedule
Air Busan (CEO Jung Byungsub) will officially implement its winter flight schedule from October 26, 2025, through March 28, 2026.
For this winter season, the airline will focus on increasing flights departing from Busan, accelerating its recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under the new schedule, Air Busan will operate a total of 20 international routes departing from Gimhae International Airport (including 5 to Japan, 3 to China, 3 to Greater China, 8 to Southeast Asia, and 1 to Oceania) and 6 routes departing from Incheon International Airport (3 to Japan and 3 to Southeast Asia). For domestic flights, the airline will operate 4 routes: Busan-Gimpo, Busan-Jeju, Gimpo-Jeju, and Ulsan-Jeju, resulting in a total of 30 routes.
The core of this winter operation is the "expansion of Busan as a hub." Air Busan will increase the Busan-Matsuyama route from 3 to 7 flights per week and the Busan-Vientiane route from 2 to 4 flights per week. The long-haul Busan-Guam route will resume with two daily flights, and the Busan-Macau route will increase from 3 to 5 flights per week starting December 24. In contrast, the number of routes departing from Incheon will be reduced from 8 to 6 compared to the previous summer schedule.
Recently, Air Busan experienced operational disruptions due to the loss of some aircraft in a fire incident. However, the airline is accelerating the normalization of its fleet by sequentially bringing back aircraft that were undergoing outsourced maintenance and adding one new aircraft. This is expected to improve both the stability of route operations and overall supply capacity.
An Air Busan representative stated, "With the recovery of our fleet size, we will be able to operate our routes more stably this winter season. In addition to regular routes based on customer demand, we will enhance our competitiveness by expanding irregular routes."
This expansion of winter operations is not just a simple schedule adjustment; it signals that Air Busan is returning to a growth trajectory. As a "Busan-based airline," the company’s commitment to diversifying routes centered on regional airports is clearly reflected in this operational plan.
