On October 23, at the 80th anniversary event held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Hanjin Group President Cho Hyunmin met with reporters and declared, "We are announcing 'Group Vision 2045,' a future strategy to leap forward once again toward the next 100 years." She added, "We aim to become a comprehensive logistics company encompassing aerospace, future mobility, and e-commerce, and to lead innovation in logistics technology through AI-based hyper-autonomization."

Through the newly announced vision, the group expressed its ambition to achieve the "double revenue" goal over the next 20 years. Ryu Kyungpyo, Vice Chairman of Hanjin KAL, stated, "Recently, Korean Air and Hanjin have been entering new fields and investing in overseas airlines and other areas," adding, "We will strive to double our revenue by our 100th anniversary." Last year, Hanjin Group reported assets of 58 trillion won, revenue of 31 trillion won, and operating profit of 2.5 trillion won.

On this day, Korean Air completed the acquisition of a 10% stake (217 million dollars, or 310.9 billion won) in WestJet, the second-largest airline in Canada, further expanding its influence as a global airline. The company is also pursuing a merger with Asiana Airlines, aiming to launch an integrated airline by the end of next year. Hanjin also expressed its commitment to the space logistics industry, such as satellite transportation.

Additionally, to mark its 80th anniversary, Hanjin Group unveiled a new corporate identity (CI) that reinterprets the group's iconic "H" mark. The smooth upward curve representing the "H" symbolizes flexibility and dynamism, while the surrounding open circular design reflects an open attitude and cooperation toward the global market. President Cho explained, "Since the 'H' mark was personally designed by the late founder Cho Choong-hoon, we have retained it but updated it with a more modern feel."

In his commemorative address, Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Won-tae said, "Based on the management philosophy of national service through transportation established by the late founder Cho Choong-hoon and the dedication of the late former Chairman Cho Yang-ho, we have continuously pioneered new paths in logistics." He added, "With the Hanjin Group heritage shared by each affiliate, we will continue to establish ourselves as the world's leading comprehensive logistics company for the next 100 years and beyond."
