The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (Director Kim Byungsam) held an investment promotion briefing session in Daegu on October 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Hotel Inter-Burgo EXCO, jointly organized with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Korea (Chairman Roger Royo), inviting Spanish IT companies.
The "Investment Promotion Briefing Session in Daegu for Spanish IT Companies" was the first collaborative project between the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Korea. A total of five companies participated, including four Spanish IT startups and one foreign-invested IT company based in the Seoul metropolitan area.

The briefing session featured a variety of programs, including an introduction to the investment environment of Suseong Alpha City, presentations of successful cases by resident companies, a visit to the FIX 2025 exhibition, and an on-site tour of Suseong Alpha City. Participating companies showed great interest in Daegu's advanced industrial infrastructure and excellent business environment.
This event was part of efforts to further promote foreign investment in Suseong Alpha City. Spanish IT companies in various fields such as AI, software, web technology, office automation, and digital transformation (DX) participated to explore potential collaboration with companies in the Daegu region.
Kim Byungsam, Director of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "Taking this collaborative project with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Korea as an opportunity, we will continue to actively discover and pursue investment promotion projects in cooperation with foreign chambers of commerce in Korea to further vitalize foreign investment in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone."
