Kyochon Chicken to Restore Original Weight and Meat Composition for Boneless Chicken

Surrendering to Criticism Over "Sneaky" Price Hike
Restoring Original 700g Weight and 100% Domestic Chicken Thigh Meat

Kyochon F&B, the operator of Kyochon Chicken, announced on October 23 that it will revert four boneless menu items, which had their pre-cooking weight and raw meat composition changed during a renewal launch last September, back to their original specifications.

The four menu items are: ▲Soy Sauce Boneless ▲Red Boneless ▲Half & Half Boneless (Soy Sauce + Red) ▲Half & Half Boneless (Red + Honey).

On September 11, Kyochon Chicken launched 10 new boneless menu items to improve taste and quality, and at that time, renewed four existing boneless menu items with a weight of 500g and a combination of domestic chicken thigh and tenderloin meat.

However, the company acknowledged that communication with customers during this process was insufficient. As a result, it will restore the three menu items (▲Soy Sauce Boneless ▲Red Boneless ▲Half & Half Boneless (Soy Sauce + Red)) to their original weight of 700g and 100% domestic chicken thigh meat. The remaining item, ▲Half & Half Boneless (Red + Honey), will be reverted to its original weight of 600g and original meat composition. The 10 newly launched boneless menu items will be discontinued. Additionally, the sauce application method, which had been changed to a tumbling technique, will return to the original brushing method.

This decision, made with consideration for franchise operations, will take effect starting November 20.

A Kyochon F&B representative stated, "We humbly accept customer criticism regarding the changes in weight and raw meat composition following the renewal launch of the boneless menu items," adding, "We will continue to strive for product innovation that satisfies consumers and actively communicate as a franchise company."
