NH-Amundi Asset Management announced on October 23 that it conducted a rural volunteer activity on October 16 at the “Village Flowing with Grape Aroma” in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province.
The volunteer activity was attended by 26 employees, including Chief Investment Officer Park Jin-ho and Executive Director Han Su-il, who assisted with grape harvesting and supported the local farmers.
The Village Flowing with Grape Aroma is a grape farm that formed a sisterhood relationship with NH-Amundi Asset Management in 2016 through the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation's “Creating Another Village” campaign. The company has been supporting the farm every year through various activities such as helping with farm work and purchasing agricultural products.
NH-Amundi Asset Management conducts regular rural volunteer activities more than four times a year to support farms facing labor shortages.
Gil Jeong-seop, CEO of NH-Amundi Asset Management, said, “It was meaningful that our employees could directly participate and provide help during the period when rural areas need the most support,” adding, “We will continue to expand social contribution activities that promote mutual growth with the local community.”
NH-Amundi Asset Management operates social contribution programs as part of its ESG management. In addition to rural volunteer activities, the company also conducts various ESG campaigns, including plogging at Yeouido Hangang Park.
